 WE GREETED: District Governor Steve Montgomery extended greetings to our club.  WE PROCLAIMED: Rolla Mayor William S. Jenks III proclaims February 27, 2010 as "Rotary Club of Rolla Day"  WE LEARNED: Guest speaker Bob Priddy, Missourinet News Director, addresses the large gathering of Rotarians and guests. He spoke of the conditions in Rolla and our nation when we were founded in 1935. He also paralleled the writings of Alexis de Tocqueville regarding the art and power of association with the good that can be accomplished through non-governmental organizations such as ours. |
